Quick answers.

Is there a 1% commission real estate agent near me?

Yes, if you are selling in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Mississauga, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Ancaster or Waterdown. FairCommission is a low commission, full-service option: a 1% listing commission.

What percentage do most realtors charge in Ontario?

There is no set rate in Ontario. Around 5% in total is commonly quoted, split between the listing and buyer brokerages. Every rate is negotiable.

Is 3% normal for a real estate agent?

A 3% total is lower than the roughly 5% commonly quoted in Ontario. With FairCommission, 3% is the usual total: 1% to list and 2% for the buyer’s brokerage. In Oakville and Mississauga it is 3.5%.

What is the lowest commission a realtor will take?

It varies by brokerage, and every rate is negotiable. FairCommission’s listing commission is 1%, and that is the full service, not a stripped-down version.

Can you negotiate real estate commission when selling?

Yes. There is no fixed or required commission rate in Ontario. Commission is set between you and your brokerage and written into the listing agreement.

Is a 1% agent the same as a flat-fee agent?

No. Flat-fee services usually charge a set amount to post your home on MLS and leave showings, negotiation and paperwork to you. With FairCommission, Vic handles all of it for a 1% listing commission.

Does the 1% include the buyer’s agent?

No. 1% is the listing side, paid to FairCommission. The buyer’s brokerage is paid separately, so the total is 3% in most of our cities and 3.5% in Oakville and Mississauga. We show both numbers up front.

What do I get for 1%?

The full listing service: Toronto and Hamilton-Niagara MLS, REALTOR.ca, professional photography, drone video, Facebook and Instagram advertising, a For Sale sign, showings, pricing advice, negotiation and paperwork through to closing.

How much could I save on commission?

Compared with a 5% commission, a 3% total saves 2% of the sale price before HST. That is $18,000 on a $900,000 home and $20,000 on a $1,000,000 home. Use the calculator on this page for your city and price.

Are there reviews for FairCommission?

Yes. Vic Singh has a 5.0 rating on Google. Read client reviews and see what they saved.
